The Law Practice Management Program (LPM) helps Georgia lawyers and their employees in office management. The program provides resources and training on new computers or copiers, personnel matters, compensation, workflow, file organization, tickler systems, library materials and software.
Free online legal research is available to all Bar members. The program conducts training classes to attorneys to effectively use and navigate the Georgia Casemaker library. Casemaker training is also offered online in a webinar format. The program provides technical consultation and general consultation. Technical consultation involves training the attorneys and their staff on the most effective use of a variety of popular law office software applications. The general consultation deals with law office management processes necessary to maximise opeational effectiveness. Consultations are confidential.
The Law Practice Management program maintains a library of hundreds of books, videotapes, audiotapes and CD-ROMS on a variety of topics related to law office management and technology. The program also provides a legal software library at State Bar headquarters to help attorneys with technology planning and purchasing decisions. State Bar of Georgia members can purchase books and CDs from the ABA through the Law Practice Management program at a discounted rate.
